EPIM Crashes
I can reliably, repeatedly crash EPIM with this machine in this way. I wasn't trying to!
EPIM Pro 26.0.6
Win 11 Version 25H2 (OSBuild 26200.9168)
Machine: Acer business class laptop TravelMate P6 14 AI (aka TravelMate P614-54T ) Model No: N25C1
This crashed it.
1. Touch pad scrolling crashes program Touch pad scrolling closes program on contact records with both long and short notes. First the cursor stalls (stops moving) and if I continue trying, it closes the program.
These do not crash EPIM
2. Scroll bar scrolling ok
3.Down arrow scrolling OK on both long and short notes
4.Mouse scrolling OK on both long and short notes

Re: EPIM Crashes
Thank you for the report. Could you please check whether you experience the same behavior with the upcoming major EPIM update, version 26.5 RC2? You can download it here: viewtopic.php?t=40412. We'd appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

Re: EPIM Crashes
Installed RC2. Program still auto-closes when touch pad scrolling through contact notes.

Re: EPIM Crashes
Sorry, I was so slow, but that didn't help. Crashed it in 4 seconds using the touchpad to scroll my notes.

Re: EPIM Crashes
Does it show a detailed error report when it crashes? If so, please click the Send button and forward the report to us. Thank you.

Re: EPIM Crashes
There is no error report. It simply exits as if the X were pressed. No chance to send a report. Would you like us to make it crash again and then send you some log? But I think the thing to do is for someone with a laptop to try scrolling long notes and see if it is universal or only this Acer.

Re: EPIM Crashes
Could you please make a short video demonstrating the crash and the actions that lead to it? Also, will the same problem occur if you create a new EPIM data file, copy and paste some contacts with notes from the existing database into the new one and then try scrolling the notes in the new database?

Re: EPIM Crashes
No video. The action is using the touch pad on an Acer Laptop. I believe she scrolls with two fingers. As she has said, she scrolls for a few seconds and the screen scrolls. Then it stops scrolling and the computer is locked up. Nothing works. After another few seconds EPIM closes entirely. Everything is ok after it is re-opened. Scrolling works fine if she scrolls with a mouse wheel or uses the cursor keys. This could only be reproduced with a laptop and maybe it is tied to her particular Acer model and the touchpad drivers. We have all the latest updates on it. I'll email her and see if we can set up a new database and try making a long note and then scrolling it.
