Anyone beside me still on 12.5.6?

Post by jim999 »

Over the many years of using EPIM Pro I have learnt not to have FOMO and rush out and always install the latest and greatest version of the product. That is why I am still on 12.5.6 Pro here as it works. I do not use the email function at all. I use it to managed contacts and appointments since at least going back to version 5 of EPIM.

Just wondering if I am the last remaining user of 12.5.6 Pro on a lifetime license.

No, you're not. I'm still running 12.5.5 — I'm not afraid to update to 12.5.6, but I'm too lazy to do it — because this version just works great and stable.
I use the calendar and tasks features very extensively, along with a few notes and email—though not as my main program.

I've been testing version 26 since the first beta, but even though I like some of the new features, it just isn't clean and stable enough for me yet. I'm still waiting it out, testing, and keeping an eye on the forum.

Same here. I have enough issues fixing other people's hardware, software and networking issues that I don't need a piece of software that is reliable and which I use every day to have issues.

If it may be of any help, I currently use very intensively (emails too) EPIM version 26.0 (build 9620) and it's running fine and stable so far.
I plan to give v.26.0.4 a try ASAP.

I assume that if I was to upgrade to v 26.x I would have to make a backup under 12.x first in case I want to revert back to ver 12. Problem is that I would then have to reflect any changes to that v 12 backup should I revert back.

EPIM creates this backup automatically when updating to a new major version, so you don't need to do it manually.

I confirm mdb175's statement. I'm using EPIM 26.0.4 Build 9677 extensively for notes, email, and calendar. I had issues with earlier versions of 26.0, but they've been worked out.

The problem is that I don't have an installer for 12.56. build 1071 so if I ever upgrade I am stuck on 26 version.

I think this should be the latest 12.5 version, so I would expect 12.5.6

@DG: I also have the impression that 26.0.4 is now the first version to run cleanly. But I NEVER use "the first version" :P :P :P
