Build 9648

Post by a8907433 »

Just nowI installed Version 26.02 B9648. There where no problems so far, no error, no crash BUT.......... again, here it is: optimizing db will NOT shrink my db!!!!
This seems to be for you a very easy reproducable bug, you can do this trick in every situation

I don´t know what to do, perhaps just wait for the next update.

Agreed. My database just grew from 65Mb to 88Mb when I "optimized".

What was build 9648 supposed to solve that the previous build didn't?

Agreed, optimization is buggy again in build 9648. I optimized three databases, one with mail accounts and two without mail. One of the two non-mail files was reduced slightly in size, and the other increased slightly. The database with mail accounts made no difference.

Thank you for letting us know about this problem! That's why these builds have only been available in the Beta update channel so far :) We'll address the issue in the public release of EPIM 26.0.2, which is planned for the next couple of days.

Up until about three or four months ago my database size averaged about 150 to 180 Megabytes, since then it has gained about 100 Megabytes per month.
It is now 583.83 megabytes in size, I don't think I'm adding anymore than average amount of data.
When I optimize, never over 2 or 3 megabytes, even after two or three weeks.

VictorParker, I optimized my db with version 26.0. I work with the last version and optimized it with the last version where it works with this db.

As always, it takes some time until the new version reaches everyone. The update is also available for download on the website now.
